Located in Cornelius, North Carolina, Cabinet ReVisions is a family owned and operated business that specializes in resurfacing existing cabinetry and trimwork with factory (or better) finishes, while the residence or business is still occupied. We use all certified eco-friendly products – the latest in cabinet finishing technology – that have little or no VOCs. This means they are safe for use inside the home. Also, since we use existing cabinetry, no trees have to be cut down and nothing ends up in the landfill. This is the best form of recycling we know.
Over the years, we've found that a lot of clients don't want to gut their kitchens and have to go through the stress and expense of remodeling. Before now, the only alternative was re-facing – which is also pretty expensive. Now, because of technical advances in resurfacing technology, it is possible to give an extremely high quality custom sprayed cabinet finish – with minimal disruption to the everyday routine of the kitchen. Because of the products we use, the "smell" while we are on site is not much different then having a regular painter in the home.
In order to achieve this level of convenience and quality of finish, we spend a great deal of time masking and covering all surfaces not involved. Typically, we remove all doors and drawer fronts to the shop, where they are refinished on both sides. Then, whatever is left on site is isolated in preparation for treatment. All cabinet openings are masked in such a way as to provide access to contents while we are working. Appliances, sinks and counter tops will also be accessible every evening when we leave for the day.
We provide an unlimited number of custom finishes – as well as 32 stock designer finishes. After a thorough cleaning and sanding, most finishes include 4 coats of primer or base paint, followed by multiple layers of antiquing/glazing, then 4 clear coats are applied for the final finish. All of our products meet or exceed trade specifications for cabinet finish durability and chemical resistance.
